Our sixteen spacious, elevated tents blend comfort with a genuine sense of the wild. Each raised tent opens onto a private wooden deck and features both an indoor and an outdoor shower, letting you feel close to nature without giving up any comfort. At the main house, a swimming pool with loungers and shaded seating looks out over the plains, while a bar overlooking a waterhole, two dining tents and a fire pit form the social heart of the camp.

Nkasa Rupara National Park
From Nkasa Plains Camp, set out across a 2.200 ha exclusive area bordering the Nkasa Rupara National Park — Namibia’s largest protected wetland. From the open plains around camp, drives lead into the park’s wetlands, wooded islands and channels in search of elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard, and a landscape few travellers ever see.

A game drive at Nkasa Rupara is an intimate way to explore one of Namibia’s wildest corners. Cross floodplains, wooded islands and reed-lined channels in search of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and the park’s remarkable antelope — red lechwe, reedbuck, and the rare puku. With a private concession and very few other vehicles, sightings are quiet and uncrowded.

NIGHT DRIVE
As darkness falls over the wetlands, a night drive reveals a different side of Nkasa Rupara. With a spotlight, look for nocturnal species rarely seen by day — civet, genet, honey badger, and the occasional leopard on the move. Night drives are possible here on the private concession in a way they are not within Namibia’s national park boundaries, making them a real highlight of a stay at the camp.

Nkasa Plains Camp sits on its own private concession directly bordering the Nkasa Rupara National Park, in Namibia’s Zambezi Region (the former Caprivi Strip). The camp itself overlooks open plains, while the park’s wetlands — shaped by the Kwando and Linyanti rivers and forming Namibia’s largest protected wetland — lie just within its boundaries. The private concession means exclusive access, few other vehicles, and the freedom to offer night drives and walking safaris alongside classic game drives.

» Located in an exclusive area of the Dzoti Conservancy, adjacent to Nkasa Rupara National Park.

CHILD POLICY
» Children of all ages are welcome at their parents’ own risk.
» Children aged 0–5 stay free of charge on both DBB and FI rates.
» Children aged 6–11 pay 50% of the adult sharing rate.
» Children aged 12 and older pay the full adult rate.
» Children staying in a separate room are charged the single rate.
» For families travelling with children under 12, a private vehicle is compulsory.

» Check-in: 14:00.
» Check-out: 10:00.
» A 4×4 vehicle is required.
» Complimentary pickup and secure parking are available at Malengalenga and must be booked in advance.
PAYMENT POLICY
» A 25% deposit is required to confirm the booking.

» Bookings made fewer than 14 days before arrival require full payment upon confirmation.

» Three weeks before arrival: 50% cancellation fee.
» Two weeks before arrival: 75% cancellation fee.
» 0–13 days before arrival: 100% cancellation fee.
» No-show: 100% cancellation fee.

» All rates are quoted in Namibian Dollars (N$), which are equivalent to South African Rand (ZAR).
» Rates include 15% VAT and the NTB Levy.
» Rates are valid from July 2026 to December 2027.
» A sustainability levy of N$300 per person per night applies and is non-commissionable.
