DAY 1 | ARRIVAL & FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF THE DELTA

Your journey begins at 14:00 from Sepupa Swamp Station – please arrive punctually. Safe parking is available at Sepupa for an additional fee. A scenic 90-minute boat transfer leads you into the Delta’s vast quiet.

Alternatively, guests arriving between 14:00 and 16:00 at Seronga Airstrip are welcomed by our team for a short road and boat transfer directly to the Okavango Endeavor.

You’ll be greeted by our warm crew, meet your captain, and be introduced to your private safari guide, who will accompany a maximum of six guests for a personal and flexible experience.

An afternoon on the water

Step into your cabin, stretch out on the private balcony with a refreshing drink, and watch the Delta unfold – pied kingfishers hovering, papyrus rustling in the breeze.

As the boat begins to move, choose how you’d like to ease into the afternoon:

  • Join a gentle cruise as the Endeavor glides south through quiet, shimmering channels
  • Or hop aboard a tender boat with your guide for a sundowner among the reeds, spotting birds, trying your hand at fishing, or simply watching the light change

Come evening, gather on deck for a three-course dinner under the stars. The Delta by night is pure magic – the low chorus of frogs, the distant whoop of a hyena, and, with luck, the haunting call of a Pel’s fishing owl echoing through the darkness.

DAY 2 | SOUTHWARD TO THE EDGE OF MOREMI

Awake to birdsong and your first cup of coffee on the balcony from your in-room coffee station. As the day begins, the Okavango Endeavor continues her graceful journey south, offering ever-changing views of mokolwane palms, riverine woodland, and wide open channels.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard while cruising, and let the hours unfold in the rhythm of the river. Expect impromptu stops for wildlife sightings – fish eagles overhead, elephants drinking at the water’s edge, jacanas stepping lightly on lily pads.

Find a quiet corner in the shaded lounge with a book, take a dip in the plunge pool, or sip something cool from the well-stocked bar as the landscape drifts by.

Lunch is served as the boat continues southward, a relaxed affair with homemade, seasonal dishes enjoyed in the open air or in the comfort of the shaded lounge.

Afternoon arrival at Chiefs Island

By mid-afternoon, you’ll reach a rare and special location – the northern tip of Chiefs Island, just across the channel from Moremi Game Reserve. Few houseboats travel this far, and anchoring here is an experience in itself.

Set out with your guide on an afternoon boat safari along the Moremi fringes. This is prime wildlife territory: small herds of red lechwe, elephants crossing shallow waters, and prolific birdlife including fish eagles, herons, and perhaps even the rare wattled crane.

After returning to the boat, freshen up and enjoy a glowing Delta sunset before sitting down to a delicious dinner onboard, accompanied by the quiet of the floodplains.

DAY 3 | DELTA REFLECTIONS & A WARM FAREWELL

For early risers, a final optional tender boat excursion offers one more glimpse of the morning light over the water – a magical time when the channels mirror the sky and the world feels hushed.

Cruise upstream & departure

Enjoy a final breakfast on deck, as the Endeavor begins her return journey upstream. Around 11:00, you’ll disembark for your onward travel – either by boat back to Sepupa, or with a short road and boat transfer to Seronga Airstrip.

As the houseboat disappears around the bend, you’ll take with you more than photographs – you’ll carry the rhythm of this place, and the feeling of having drifted, if only for a while, entirely in tune with nature.
